What a Journey!!! Me & My Car.

Cars are such a part and parcel of our lives today such that for the majority of people, life's daily activities are organised around our cars.

It therefore becomes imperative that the car has to offer high comfort levels, well appointed interior ergonomics, good entertainment, exciting performance, excellent safety features and above all the car has to be reliable.

Mercedes-Benz is geared to meet all these and even go beyond this and yet customers have continued to meet with various experiences. Some very exciting and others not so exciting.

What has your journey been like so far??

Hi, Frankie,

How to use the SmartKey to open the trunk lid?

Now, I can opne it with the button on the front-left door, but I can't open it with the buttone on my smart key.

Thanks a lot,
Shimin Yang
Thank You Shimin. I would like to assure you that this question will help a lot of customers out there.

Simply press and hold the trunk OPEN BUTTON/SIGN on your smart key until the trunk begins to open. Repeating the same process when you are closing the trunk is only possible on certain models of E,S, SL,ML,GL & R Class.

If I get the actual model I can tell you what is possible and what is not.

If this does not help, let me know.

Thank you, Frankie. Your suggestion is helpful, the trunk lid is open when I press the button a bit while.

Another concern occurred, the stir wheel is NOT easy to be controlled when the speed up to 130KM. That is to say, I have to adjust the stir wheel right and left.

In order to solve the problem, the wheel balance for each wheel and 4 wheel alignment for the car is needed to do?

Can your company provide the services of 4 wheel balance and alignment?

Thanks alot,
Shimin Yang
I am glad to hear that you can now open your trunk from the key.

Yes. You can bring in your car and wheel balancing & alignment can be done for you. Phone 613 745 9000 and ask to speak to our Service Advisors and they will guide you on what needs to be done.

If you still have problems let me know.

Once again thank you for blogging with me.

Good Morning Frankie ,

First of all ,i'd like to say that I love Mercedes-Benz and I'm satisfied with my car in "general terms". So far ,one of its biggest flaws ,is that this car doesn't have folding rear seats , which has caused me many upsets and troubles and i think it will continue to cause many more, ie: when i am putting my golf clubs, or when i try to put something that i need to fold seats, when i traveling,.... etc, then i should find some help or switch my car with a friend, and this happens regularly.
As a 100% customer satisfaction is a priority for Mercedes-Benz , i have the regret to announce that this car does not meet my expectations , so I decided to change it, (asap if I can ,of course), or to rent in the future another model from another constructor.

Waiting for your wise advice and hoping that there is a chance to solve this issue before the lease ends.
Thank you for giving me this feedback about your journey with your beautiful Mercedes-Benz C230W 2008 Model. I am happy to hear that you are generally happy with your car.

I do empathise with you on the fact that you have had grief because of your rear unfolding seats. When you bought the car, a review of equipment listing on the car was done, and at the time you were very happy with the car. You could have easily moved up to the C300W which had folding rear seats, but you chose not to.

Right now you can either advertise your car with Lease Busters so that someone may take over your lease or you just wait for another year and then you can choose another car of your choice. You may also buy out your lease and then sell the car. But be advised, this is a tricky road, you may end up losing money. Good Luck!
