Mercedes-Benz has joined hands with Apple to unleashed mbrace2 which introduces social media like Facebook, Twitter, Google, Text Messaging and driver assistant functions like Remote Vehicle Diagnostics and Siri. According to e-gadget Mercedes-Benz is the first automotive manufacturer in the world to revolutionize vehicle telematics to this level. This has been made possible by an in-house built app called "Digital DriveStyle App" in conjunction with Apple's "Drive Kit Plus"

Mercedes-Benz customers in Canada, starting with the 2013 SL 550 drivers can now access all the key content of their iPhone through the in-vehicle display and enjoy safe and convenient operation of the device via the command controller unit on the center armrest. Mercedes-Benz reiterates that debuting on the new 2013 SL-Class customers will be able to enjoy:

• Google Local Search
• Google Street View
• Facebook
• Yelp Restaurant Guide
• Remote vehicle diagnostics

These cars will be in dealerships across Canada as soon as May 2012. And all 2013 vehicles will have mbrace as standard equipment. Confirmed already are the whole 2013 C Class line up and the 2013 B Class which will only be available in the Fall.
